American Pop Art artist born in 1928 in Pittsburgh, United States. Through silkscreen paintings of Campbell’s Soup Cans, Marilyn Monroe, and other mass-culture icons, and through his Factory studio and films, he blurred the line between art, celebrity, and commerce. Died 1987.
