Sources for BIOS files, firmware, encryption keys, and ROMs for console emulation. Use an ad blocker (uBlock Origin) on all of these sites.

Internet Archive — PS2 BIOS Megadump	172 MB zip, all regions. Most reliable
github.com/awanz/bios-ps2	Key files including `scph39001.bin` (US) and PAL variants
github.com/archtaurus/RetroPieBIOS	392 BIOS files for many systems, PS2 under `pcsx2/bios/`

Pick one BIOS per region: scph39001.bin (US/NTSC) or SCPH30004R.bin (Europe/PAL).

PS2 ISOs are typically 1–4 GB. Anything much smaller is fake.

The official PS3 firmware (PS3UPDAT.PUP) is free and legal from PlayStation support.

Same general sources as PS2. Disc games come as folders containing PS3_DISC.SFB — rename with .ps3 extension for RetroBat.

Always use uBlock Origin
Never download .exe files — ROMs are .iso, .bin, .chd, .nsp, .xci, etc.
Avoid sites with “scene group” names (SKIDROW, CODEX) — they don’t have official websites
Avoid CoolROM, RomsUniverse, RomHustler — known for bundled malware
Avoid SEO-bait BIOS sites (ps2biosonline.com, officialps2bios.com, etc.)
