To properly use Kanata in macOS, there are some steps to be performed to have a working setup.
First off, install the base Kanata tool by running:
brew install kanataThen, install pqrs-org/Karabiner-DriverKit-VirtualHIDDevice, by running:
git clone git@github.com:pqrs-org/Karabiner-DriverKit-VirtualHIDDevice.git
open Karabiner-DriverKit-VirtualHIDDevice/dist
# Install the desired version using the installer and then...
/Applications/.Karabiner-VirtualHIDDevice-Manager.app/Contents/MacOS/Karabiner-VirtualHIDDevice-Manager activateFail
It does not work on my current setup. It probably is related to the fact that macOS 15 (Sequoia) is not officially supported by the virtual device driver.
