The scoreboard modules are Sider Lua modules for PES 21 that replace the default in-game scoreboard with custom designs replicating real-life TV broadcast graphics. They are bundled with FL26.

ScoreboardServer

By zlac (v1.91, with contributions from juce, edward7777, and predator002). The scoreboard server maps competitions to scoreboard packs via content/scoreboard-server/map_competitions.txt. When multiple scoreboard paths are assigned to the same competition ID, one is picked randomly each match. Each scoreboard path is a self-contained folder containing TV icon textures (matchMenuIcon_tex/), overlay .bin files, and an intro_anthem.mp3.

Key features:

• Exhibition auto-detection: Uses CommonLib.tid_same_league() to check if both teams share a real-world league and applies that league’s scoreboard. Falls back to Exhibition\eFootball otherwise.
• TV broadcaster channels (v1.8+ by edward7777): Within a scoreboard folder, tvbroadcast/channel_X/ subfolders allow randomised broadcaster logo overlays on top of the base scoreboard design.
• Kit colour contrast (v1.6+ by edward7777): Calculates luma from each team’s UniColor_Color1 to classify text as DarkHome/LightHome and DarkAway/LightAway, ensuring readable team names against kit-coloured background plates.
• Manual selection: Press 9 to toggle manual mode, then PageUp/PageDown to browse all installed scoreboards regardless of competition assignments.

How the TV icon is paired

The TV icon is not separately selected — it is bundled inside each scoreboard folder as .bin files under common/menu/general/matchMenuIcon_tex/. Whichever scoreboard path is selected (automatically or manually), its TV icons, overlays, and anthem all come as a package.

File resolution priority

When serving scoreboard files, ScoreboardServer checks paths in this order (highest priority first):

1. flag_teams/{home_id}/{away_id}/tvbroadcast/{channel}/ — team-vs-team + broadcaster channel
2. contrast_names/tvbroadcast/{channel}/ — colour-contrast names + channel
3. tvbroadcast/{channel}/ — broadcaster channel overlay only
4. flag_teams/{home_id}/{away_id}/ — team-vs-team specific
5. contrast_color/{home_color}/{away_color}/{fg_home}_{fg_away}/ — kit colour contrast
6. teams_color/{home_color}/{away_color}/ — team colour matchup
7. lineup_color/{home_color}/ — home lineup colour
8. contrast_names/{fg_home}_{fg_away}/ — text contrast
9. Root scoreboard folder — default fallback

scoreboard-hexx

By Mohamed2746 (initially) and afandix (research and updates), v2.0.7 Patreon-Exclusive. A specialised companion module that only activates for EPL matches. It does not choose scoreboards — it hooks into the scoreboard that ScoreboardServer selected and dynamically patches colours in memory to match each team’s kit colours on scoreboard plates, goal cards, lineup screens, stats overlays, and the pause menu.

It reads per-team, per-kit colour definitions from content/scoreboard-hexx/colors.ini and memory offsets from all_offset.ini. It verifies the active scoreboard is “Afandix Premier League” via ctx.scoreboard_server['active_scoreboard'] before activating. Additional features include animated goal cards with team-coloured textures and randomised stats card backgrounds (referee names, sponsor logos like Hublot, EA FC, “No Room for Racism”, social media, and win probability graphics).

Current configuration

Both modules are active in my FL26 setup and work together: ScoreboardServer manages the routing while scoreboard-hexx provides EPL-specific dynamic colour modifications.

Custom broadcaster preferences

The map_competitions.txt file has been modified from the FL26 default to restrict automatic broadcaster selection to Movistar (and DAZN for Spanish leagues). This only affects automatic selection — manual selection via the overlay still shows all installed scoreboards.
